Bác sý tận tâm, nhiệt tình, điều trị mụn và thẩm mỹ hiệu quả mình rất hài lòng
Terrible clinic I clearly wrote on Facebook that I was looking for a doctor who could treat acne with systemic retinoids. The doctor replied that it was okay and invited me to come in. I arrived at the appointment, only to discover a very strange home-based clinic. I already had serious doubts about the level of hygiene, but fine — I came for the medication. At some point, I realized they were trying to take advantage of me financially because I’m a foreigner. In this home-based, far-from-sterile clinic on the outskirts of the city, I was told that my treatment would cost 40 million VND. According to the doctor, this included preliminary tests, monthly check-ups, and medication. The price was absolutely outrageous — even by European standards. I had already consulted a dermatologist in my home country and I know exactly how much this treatment costs. I also checked prices in other clinics locally and looked up the cost of the medication. What the treatment should realistically cost: - 10–12 monthly consultations: 200,000 VND each → up to 3,000,000 VND - Lab tests (even assuming monthly testing): Approx. 10,000,000 VND (a very generous estimate) - Medication for the entire course: About 7,000,000 VND ➡️ Total realistic cost: around 20 million VND (maximum) Yet the doctor simply quoted 40 million VND, a number pulled completely out of thin air, and told me she couldn’t give me a prescription — meaning I would have to buy the medication only from her. On top of that, she tried to convince me that I needed extra cosmetic procedures such as cleanings, peels, and scrubs, even pointing at other women undergoing these procedures in the next room. This is extremely unprofessional because while taking systemic retinoids, any cosmetic intervention is strictly prohibited — only moisturizers are allowed. The skin is already under heavy stress from the medication. In the end, I left with an awful impression. I felt disappointed and helpless. I’ve been treating acne for four years, and all I want is a doctor who will support me and help me — not someone trying to squeeze as much money out of me as possible. After I left, they texted me saying that I “misunderstood everything” and that they actually cannot prescribe the medication at all — even though the doctor specifically told me she could during our initial messages. And then it turned out that the outrageous 40 million VND included some questionable cosmetic treatments like mesotherapy and similar non–evidence-based procedures. This is not a proper, evidence-based protocol for treating moderate to severe acne. If you cannot prescribe the medication you promised, don’t claim that you can. And do not lure patients into your office only to push overpriced, clinically unproven procedures on them.
